I am trying to create awareness that there are some brilliant lady soccer players in South Africa. I must admit the mentality is still very old fashioned as the theory is "stay in the kitchen" or in our case in South Africa "stay pregnant". Our young girls from different ethnic backgrounds are struggling to convince their family that soccer is the sport for them. Soccer is predominantly a mans game, and women should rather stick to tennis where little delicate skirts are wore and women can dress according to their million dollar sponsorships.
After being exposed to a fair share of games with Croesus, I realised that these ladies have the stamina, strength and the feminine grace which tennis players love to portray.
Some of these ladies taken off the soccer field, and in their casual clothes look better than the anorexic models we have on the front covers of magazines like vogue and cosmopolitan.
When will these ladies get a break and be recognised for their beauty both inner and out and their incredible talent of playing a mans most loved sport and perfecting it!!
