Soccer is for women!

Last Friday night Croesus Ladies played against Marks Parks at their home grounds. Apart from the excruciating cold we encountered a very young team. It was refreshing to see these young girls making every effort to try and beat an experienced side like Croesus. Most of the these Marks Parks girls with their coach Noleen will be flying to London to participate in the Arsenal Tournament in July this year. We wish them all the best and hope they will succeed in placing themselves in the first spot. Whether they win are not, the experience alone will be unforgettable to each player.

Just the fact that young girls have decided to take up soccer as a sport, is brilliant. What is the difference between women playing hockey or soccer.? I suppose its the ball.!

Women soccer players today are glamorous and some are just drop dead gorgeous! Take Brazil's top lefty Marta. She was voted Brazil's best player at the 2004 Olympics. At the 2007  Women's World Cup, she was awarded the Golden boot award for being the top scorer.                                                                   Currently, she is playing for the Western New York Flash as well as her country Brazil.
